The Friends are a group of committed volunteers whose aim is to create opportunities to raise money for the school. We have successfully raised substantial amounts of money and over the last year this has totalled just under £5000! This has enabled us to buy additional equipment, experiences and treats for the benefit of all children that the school may otherwise not have been able to fund. The Friends have recently funded new playground equipment, school trips, board games, sports kit, school discos and we have many more opportunities for further funding.
The friends are an integral part of the school community and consists of parents, family members and other supporters. Therefore the success of the Friends depends entirely on the support and commitment of parents, staff and the rest of the community.
Typically, the Friends meet up once every half term (more leading up to large events), usually at 9am or 3.15pm. Meetings are informal and friendly!
If you would like to help, whether it be by joining the Friends committee, baking cakes, running a stall or one of the many jobs however big or small – your help would be greatly appreciated. We are always open to new ideas and suggestions and always welcome new volunteers.
